LEDの登場によって光源の発熱はとても抑えられるようになったと感じた。
発熱が抑えられ熱に弱い素材も照明に使えるようになった中でフェルトを用いた照明器具を製作した。
化学繊維のフェルトの張り感を穴の形状と大きさによって調整しシェードとして昇華させた。
I felt that with the advent of LEDs, the heat generated by light sources can be greatly reduced.
I thought that by suppressing the heat generation of the light source, materials that are weak against heat could be used for lighting, so I made lighting fixtures using felt.
The tension of the synthetic fiber felt was adjusted according to the shape and size of the hole, sublimating it into a lampshade.
ハリを残しながら柔らかく形を作るように造形。
The shape is sculpted while retaining the softness of the cloth while retaining its tension.
穴の形状とハリの関係性を実験し形状を作成。
The relationship between hole shape and tension was tested to determine the shape.
