SUN CHIMES is a wind chime designed to bring the presence of nature—sunlight and wind—into everyday life regardless of the season.In addition to the sound of a bell, the object introduces a second function: diffusing sunlight.
When the window is open, it sways in the wind and produces a clear sound.The project expands the role of the wind chime beyond wind alone, allowing it to interact with interior light.
The size and thickness of the material influence the resonance of the sound.Through physical testing, different tones were examined to determine which produced a more comfortable sound.The project also considers the beauty of the production process and the method of manufacturing.

窓を開ければ風に揺れて音を奏で、窓を閉じても室内に光を拡散する。サイズや厚みが音の響きに影響するため、実物での検証を重ねながら設計を行った。
